Getting started

1. Add a fixtureTap the yellow + on Matchday. Enter both teams, pick kit colours and the kick-off time. The app suggests a referee shirt that contrasts with both teams.

2. Run the clockOpen the fixture and tap Start match clock. Log goals, cautions, sending-offs, sin bins and substitutions with big buttons. The minute fills in automatically.

3. File the paperworkAfter full-time, photograph the signed match sheet and line-ups, rate your focus points and write a quick self-review.

4. Track your seasonSeason shows cards per match, goals, fees and milestones. Fitness runs the bleep test and sprints with built-in beeps.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account or internet connection?

No. Whistle Ledger works fully offline and stores everything on your device.

I'm not getting “time to leave” reminders.

Open Settings → Notifications → Whistle Ledger and allow notifications. In the app, check Settings → Reminders. Reminders are only set for fixtures in the future.

The camera button says there's no camera or access is off.

Allow camera access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera. You can always choose an existing photo with “Choose from library”.

Does the match clock keep running if I lock my phone?

Yes. The clock is based on the time you kicked off, so it shows the correct minute when you come back. You can also keep the screen awake while the clock is open.

How do sin bins work?

Log a sin bin from the clock. A countdown for that player appears under the match time and you get an alert when they can return. Change the length in Settings.

Two cautions for the same player?

If you caution a shirt number that already has a caution, the app logs the sending-off for a second caution automatically.

How do work-on points get closed?

Add assessor feedback in Notebook. After each match, rate every focus point as Missed, Better or Nailed. Three “Nailed” ratings close it.

Can I export my data?

Share any match as a report card image, save it to Photos, or export a whole season as a CSV file from the Season tab.

How do I remove the sample season?

Settings → Erase all data removes everything, including the sample season.
